TITANIUM
Titanium (Ti) ore was first discovered in 1791, and named after the Titans, mythological first sons of the earth. Pure metallic titanium was not produced until 1910. Some 40 years later a global titanium industry began to form. The worlds 4th most abundant structural metal, exceeded only by aluminum, iron, and magnesium.
What is Titanium?
Titanium has been used commercially for just over 50 years. It is one of the transitional elements of the periodic table and has many desirable properties, most notably its incredible strength and durability. In its pure form titanium is strong as steel, but 45% lighter, and compared to aluminum it is 60% heavier and twice as strong.
What are the advantages of Titanium?
Titanium is immune to corrosive attacks by saltwater and marine atmosphere, and exhibits exceptional resistance to a broad range of corrosive gases, acids and alkalis. Immune to microbiologically influenced corrosion, Titanium is physiologically inert and hypoallergenic. The unique formula of tungsten carbide allows these rings to be both visually stunning and durable enough for every-day use. You are no longer required to constantly remove and replace your ring in order to protect its finish
Sizing
Because of the extreme hardness and durability of titanium, titanium rings cannot be sized like gold, silver or platinum rings, so please take extra care in determining the proper size.
Engraving
The number of characters is limited to three words maximum. There are NO RETURNS and NO EXCHANGE on engraved items since engraving is impossible to remove on Titanium.
